I have always had a love of jewellery and been creative. When my children were at school I began classes at York School of Jewellery - 13 years later I'm still going as you never stop learning new techniques.
After a while friends were wanting and asking for the jewellery I was making, and Rosanna Wood Designs was born. I design and make every piece in my workshop in North Yorkshire Moors.
My inspiration comes from things around me. Walks with my dog Pretzel the dachshund (also the workshop dog) in the woods , to summer holiday beaches and a pocket of shells. A love of champagne (& coffee) led to the latest collection and new techniques of granulation and wax carving.
I use 925 silver and reclaimed fine silver, gold and precious gemstones. My pieces are made using both traditional and modern techniques.
I am registered at Sheffield Assay Office and anything over 7.6gms is marked with my makers mark (the heart with RBW in), the Yorkshire rose ( Sheffield assay mark), the metal type and the year and fine metals mark.
